2022 - 2023

The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, having been with us for three years, has changed many things in our lives; however, with the Qld Government Public Health Directions and guidelines at their most relaxed since the beginning of the pandemic, Mapleton Men’s Shed has managed to ease back into some sense of pre-pandemic normalcy.

Meanwhile, the pandemic still lingers and its knock-on effects continue to create fallout which affects many people on the Sunshine Coast. In light of this, Mapleton Men's Shed members send their very best wishes to all of those who are now doing it tough in the wake of the many challenging situations for which this pandemic has been a catalyst.

Mapleton Men’s Shed Christmas Celebration 2022

Some pics from The Shed's annual Christmas Celebration are presented below.
Members and their families enjoyed a wonderful evening with lots of good cheer and excellent food. The completion of our new outdoor deck meant that everyone was amply accommodated at our beautiful Men's Shed site. Santa was not happy however as his beard had to be trimmed (for a price of course).

Sunshine Coast Open House

The Sunshine Coast’s annual event to unlock the region’s most historic and architecturally interesting buildings, Sunshine Coast Open House, was officially launched on Saturday 20 October 2019 at the University of the Sunshine Coast’s Art Gallery when Governor of Queensland, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC, officially launched the event for the second consecutive year.
Mapleton Men's Shed is proud to have already been featured in this event after our members, with mentor-ship and financial support from the Sunshine Coast Council and the Australian Men's Shed Association, restored the once derelict Mapleton Forestry Office to its former glory as the site for their Shed.
